Your Structured Pathway to Mastering White Lotus System Mechanics

Welcome to the Modern Combat Martial Arts Online Curriculum. This platform is dedicated to teaching the precise physical mechanics and training exercises of the White Lotus System of Unarmed Combat. Here, you will find the structured, progressive journey from first principles to applied proficiency, designed for dedicated practitioners who seek clarity, consistency, and measurable progress in their training.

What the MCMA Online Curriculum Teaches

Modern Combat Martial Arts teaches the White Lotus System. Our online program delivers the complete physical curriculum, from White Belt foundations through Intermediate Skill Development. This is not a collection of random techniques or a simplified self-defense course. It is a science-based, systematic progression through the mechanical mastery required for real competence.

Critical Educational Distinction:

  • MCMA Online Curriculum TEACHES: The physical mechanics, exercises, training protocols, and solo/partner drills. You learn the what and how via mirror neuron replication from detailed video demonstrations.

  • White Lotus Digital Library CONTAINS: The intellectual property—the six elemental categories (Human, Biomechanical, Combative, Processing, Psychology, Environmental) and their cause-effect science. This provides the complete why and requires a separate purchase.

Your online training provides a complete mechanical education. The Digital Library provides the profound strategic understanding behind it.

The Curriculum Structure: A Clean, Logical Progression

The curriculum follows the White Lotus System’s non-negotiable, two-phase structure, ensuring you build an unshakable solo foundation before introducing partner application dynamics.

PHASE 1: BASIC SKILL DEVELOPMENT (BSD) – The Solo Foundation
(White Belt to Orange Belt)
This phase has one exclusive focus: building flawless individual mechanics through disciplined solo practice. There is no partner work at this stage.

  • White Belt – Spatial Placement

    • Focus: Mastering isolated Positions. The entire White Belt curriculum is dedicated to the Spatial Placement of primary Guarding positions.

    • Protocol: Soft muscle tension, slow velocity, strict 5-moment holds. Pure form and spatial awareness.

  • Yellow Belt – Spatial Movement

    • Focus: Mastering Actions (movement between positions) for Guarding, while beginning to learn the Positions for Striking.

    • Protocol: Introduction of the 8-step action protocol, differentiating between simple and complex movements.

  • Orange Belt – Full-Body Integration

    • Focus: Achieving Presentation mastery of Guarding while progressing Striking and introducing Blocking.

    • Outcome: By Orange Belt, you have built a complete solo mechanical foundation and are prepared for the partner context.

PHASE 2: INTERMEDIATE SKILL DEVELOPMENT (ISD) – Partner Application
(Green Belt to Black Belt)
Only with a solid BSD foundation does the training context shift. ISD is not about learning new techniques. It is about applying the exact same mechanics mastered in BSD against the adaptive conditions of a partner.

  • Green Belt – Initial Application

    • Focus: Applying Guarding, Striking, and Blocking mechanics against variable partner-provided conditions.

  • Blue Belt – Expanded Integration

    • Focus: Applying Grappling mechanics and integrating a fourth core skill.

  • Brown Belt – Advanced Integration

    • Focus: Applying Throwing mechanics, completing the sixth core skill.

  • Black Belt – Integrated Proficiency

    • Focus: Fluent application of all Six Core Fighting Skills against unpredictable conditions, mastering the physical exercises for Combative Elements.

Learning Platform & Features

We host our curriculum on Skool.com, a community-focused platform chosen for its educational structure and engagement features.

  • High-Definition Video Library: Detailed demonstrations of every position, action, protocol, and drill from multiple angles.

  • Community Forum: A dedicated space to ask questions about mechanical execution, share progress, and connect with fellow students.

  • Mobile Accessibility: Full access via the Skool mobile app for training anywhere.

  • Direct Instructor Access: Regular interaction for guidance and clarification on your mechanical training.

Who This Program Is For

  • The Serious Beginner: You want to start correctly with a coherent, gap-free curriculum that builds from first principles.

  • The Remote Student: You seek high-quality, structured instruction but lack access to an in-person White Lotus System school.

  • The Analytical Practitioner: You are tired of ambiguous instruction and want a systematic, demystified approach with clear protocols.

  • The Hybrid Learner: You train in-person and want a comprehensive video reference library and structured practice material to supplement your classes.

Your Next Steps

  1. Build Your Mechanical Foundation: Begin your journey with the structured online curriculum. This is your primary resource for learning the physical skills of the White Lotus System.

  2. Seek Deep Understanding: When ready to move beyond replication and understand the science, pursue separate access to the White Lotus System Digital Library.

  3. Get Personalized Coaching: Accelerate your progress by supplementing your online training with private lessons for direct, personalized feedback.

Begin Your Journey Here

The path to justifiable confidence in combat is built on a foundation of unambiguous mechanical skill. The MCMA Online Curriculum provides the structured, professional-grade pathway to build that foundation.

Modern Combat Martial Arts teaches the White Lotus System of Unarmed Combat. White Lotus Digital Library access is required for the complete elemental framework. White Lotus System® is a registered trademark. Advanced Skill Development (ASD) is taught exclusively by Grand Master Brian K. Leishman.

The MCMA Skill Development System

Modern Combat Martial Arts trains the White Lotus System through structured belt progression. Students master six core skills via Basic Skill Development (BSD) solo mechanics and Intermediate Skill Development (ISD) partner application. The complete intellectual framework—the elemental algorithms and combative engineering—is accessed through the separate White Lotus Digital Library.

Foundations

(White–Orange Belts)

Basic Skill Development

Solo Mechanical Mastery. Students master Guarding positions, actions, and presentations; Striking positions and actions; and Blocking positions, actions, and presentations. This phase builds the uncompromising biomechanical base.

Integration

(Green–Brown Belts)

Intermediate Skill Development

Partner Application. Students apply Guarding, Striking, and Blocking against resistance while mastering Parrying and Grappling through BSD and ISD. This phase bridges flawless form with live, adaptive effectiveness.

Mastery

(Black Belt 1st Degree)

Integrated Skills & Combatives

Practitioners achieve unconscious competence in all six skills—Guarding, Striking, Blocking, Parrying, Grappling, and Throwing—pressure-testing them under random conditions. Strategic frameworks and advanced conceptual mastery are accessed through the White Lotus Digital Library.
